Announcing the inclusion of The Malcolm Angus Collection of Australian Art & The Ron O’Mullane OAM & Glenda O’Mullane Collection of iconic Australian & Internatonal Works on Paper, Works from The Collection of Barbara & the Late Trevor Fewings collection of works by Kevin Connor, The Estate of the Late Alan Oldfield and various vendors.

Ron O’Mullane OAM has had a lifelong interest in art which began with local Moree artists and expanded from the foundation of the Moree Plains Art Gallery, where Ron was Foundation President & Glenda, President of the Gallery Society to building relationships with many Sydney gallerists including Barry Stern, Richard King, Beth Mayne, Lin Bloomfield, Josef Lebovic & Gisella Scheinberg, to name a few and Sydney artists, who were judges of the Moree Plains Annual Art competition including, John Santry, Cedric Emanuel, John Coburn and Alan Lloyd, Senior Conservator at the AGNSW.

Ron & Glenda continue their active support of the Moree Plains Art Gallery.
Their collection of Iconic Australian & International Works on Paper is a welcome inclusion in our forthcoming Art.Asian.Jewels Auction

Malcolm Angus arrived in Sydney on the SS Canberra in October 1964, alone with one hundred pounds in savings.
Now, at the age of 70, a rural firefighter & volunteer Board Member for 2 not for Profit organisations he has decided that others could take over the care & ownership of his Australian Art Collection.
His early life in Fiji gave him an emotional attraction to the work of Ray Crooke, works of whose form a major part of his collection including the major work Lot 119 Islanders, Hut Interior est. $60,000-80,000.

The Collection of Barbara & Late Trevor Fewings, as old friends & supporters of the Artist Kevin Connor they amassed an impressive collection of the artist’s early works on paper and oil paintings including Lot 84 Big Ben, Evening 1959, from his time in England in the 1950’s.

The Auction also included works from The Estate of the Late Artist, Alan Oldfield with the inclusion of his impressive Raft Series 1985-1993, painted as a response to the Book of Revelations. Lot 91 Raft III, Miraculous Draught of Fishes, 1991 winning the 1991 Blake Prize. The series was also exhibited in a Touring Exhibition around NSW & ACT in 1993-1994, “Revelations, Journeys & A Place”.
