THEODORE BRUCE SYDNEY ANNOUNCES TAKE OVER OF JOHN WILLIAMS AUCTIONS

The Directors of Theodore Bruce, Sydney, are pleased to announce that a deal has been struck for the company to buy the business of John Williams Auctions, effective from 1 July.

The combined company will be located in the building presently occupied by John Williams Auctions, 6 Ralph Street, Alexandria.

There will be no staff redundancies as a result of the deal.

James Badgery, Director of Theodore Bruce Sydney, said “This is a wonderful chance for us to combine two of the most respected auction houses in Sydney. John Williams’ business has a fantastic reputation, and when the opportunity to combine our two businesses was too good to miss. It enables us to continue holding John’s great monthly sales alongside our Specialist Auctions in Fine Art, Asian Arts, Jewellery, Aboriginal & Tribal, and Classic Cars.”

John Williams said “After 25 years in the auction business, 14 of them in Alexandria, I am very happy to be passing the business on to such good hands, and I am confident that James Badgery and Lee Stone will continue to run the auctions in the same professional manner as I have done. I am also glad that I will still be involved in the business and can reassure all my clients that they will continue to see me around.”
