Description:

An Old Crocodile Fighting Shield, Washkuk Hills, Upper Sepik River, Papua New Guinea,
stretched crocodile skin onto a strong cane framework; such shields are used only by fight-leaders. This shield was collected in 1950s and languished in a Victorian shed for over 60 years.
