MOTORCLASSICA 2014
Further to the resounding success of our classic car auction at Motorclassica in 2013, entries are coming in thick and fast for Motorclassica 2014 Auction to be held on the evening, Saturday 25th October at the Royal Exhibition Buildings in Melbourne.
There are still a few spots left if you wish to consign a classic vehicle to the sale but headlining the entries so far are some wonderful vehicles with the promise of more star lots to come.
The Bentley R-Type Continental is often cited as one of the finest, most elegant and refined luxury cars of all time and it was in its day the fastest four-seater car ever built.
The example we are offering at auction was featured at the 1954 Australian Motor Show and is the only R-Type delivered new to Australia. It has had just five owners, with its latest custodian having taken responsibility for this beautiful machine for the last 37 years since acquiring it in 1977.
Other highlights of the sale will include:
A very rare factory right hand drive 1956 BMW 503 cabriolet
A 1947 Chrysler Town & Country Woody convertible
A highly desirable 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster, a Bristol 401
A Victor motorcycle and sidecar in incredibly original condition celebrating its 100th anniversary
An iconic 1937 BMW 327 convertible
A stunning 1954 Sunbeam Alpine Mk 1
Along with a selection of beautiful pre-war American automobiles including what is believed to be the last Packard Holbrook Coupéin existence anywhere in the world.
