THE BEST FOR LAST IN FINAL AUCTION FOR 2015
Theodore Bruce Auctions is saving the best for last – with printed artworks from the Charles Bannon Studio Collection and the Bruce’s traditional Summer Arts collection featuring in its final auction for the year.
The auction will be held in the Banquet Room, St Peters Town Hall, 101 Payneham Road, St Peters, on Sunday 13 December from 12pm.
The auction comprises three major parts:
1. The Charles Bannon Studio Collection, comprising 55 printed works by Charles Blackman, Robert Dickerson, Basil Hadley, Robert Juniper, Pro Hart, John Aland, David Dridan, Basil Hadley, Francis Lymburner, Frank Hodgkinson, Charles Bannon and more is being offered as a studio retrospective showcasing the print masters great skill.
John Bannon AO, son of the late Charles Bannon, will be opening the exhibition on Friday 11 December at a cocktail event from 5.00 – 7.00 pm, with all interested parties invited to join in the celebrations.
2. Decorative arts and collectables form the second part of the offering and include mahogany dining chairs, an exquisite papier mache and lacquer sewing box, Georgian crystal wine glasses, sterling silver; and English, French and Chinese porcelain.
3. The third part of the offering comprises the Bruce’s tradition Summer Art offering.

Artists on offer include Silvio Apponyi, TH Bone, James Cant, Ray Crooke, Bessie Davidson, David Dridan, Ethel Carrick Fox, Tom Garrett, Tom Gleghorn, Marjorie Gwynne, Robert Hannaford, Hans Heysen, Jacquie Hick, Kenneth Jack, Norman Lindsay, Sydney Long, Clifford Possum, Ainslie Roberts, Dennis Ropar, Brian Seidel, Keren Seelander, Gabriel Sterk, Constance Stokes and more.
The exhibition / auction is on view Friday 11 December 5.00 – 7.00 pm, Saturday 12 December 10.00 am – 4.00 pm and Sunday 13 December from 9.00 am.
