Coming to auction in January, The Brian Walsh Collection features television and music memorabilia, fine art, furniture, vinyl records, books, design objects and homewares – from one of Australia’s most renowned television executives. Brian Walsh (1955-2023) is best known as the co-founder and executive director of television at Foxtel and for his decades-long work as a sports and entertainment publicist.

Walsh began his career at the ABC, and worked with Palm Beach Pictures, 2SM Radio and Network 10, prior to helping establish Foxtel in 1995. As a publicist, he promoted major Australian and international figures including Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Guy Pearce and Kylie Minogue. He is credited with helping Neighbours reach a global audience, and for creating the Simply the Best campaign for the New South Wales Rugby League (NRL) featuring American singer Tina Turner.
