Vera Rudner was born in 1922 in Berlin, Germany.
Fleeing Berlin to Holland right before Germany put ‘J’ for Jew on its citizens passports, making it a timely escape.
Before arriving in Australia in 1938, Vera was featured in numerous silent movies which were later destroyed by the Nazis.
Vera has always been very artistic & was passionately involved within the arts scene in Sydney, where she organised events for the Elizabethan Theatre Trust & Musica Viva.
She expressed her creative side through cartooning & surrealism, painting in oil with two works currently featured in the National Gallery in Canberra.
Later in life she enjoyed travelling the world & cruising with her daughter, always seeking adventure.
