Description:

1962 Abarth 1000tc.
Abarth became one of the most sought after Fiat tuning houses, with more race wins than any other manufacturer at the time.

Using the Fiat 600D body, Abarth extensively modified the cars adding a front radiator that enhanced the oil and air cooling, mated with external full flow Carello oil filter, front disc brakes, 13 inch Campagnolo wheels, engine mods, tuned exhaust and the interior received leather trimmed bucket seats and Abarth branded instrumentation and jewellery.

Well known as "giant killers" these cars are extremely exciting to drive and offer fantastic performance and handling.

The Abarth 1000 Turismo Competizione (TC) represented an evolution of the 750 Berlina and 850 TC and was one of the most powerful versions of the now incredibly collectable early Abarth models.

Their tiny pocket rockets with big personalities allowed you to drive on the limit anywhere, gaining lots of attention along the way.

The car in question is in outstanding condition and it features Abarth instrumentation, independent pendolare coil over magnesium front end, disc brakes, Campagnolo wheels, Abarth corsa radiator/oil cooler with external Carello oil filter with temp control, Tubular Abarth seats, Abarth 70hp 1050cc engine, Abarth large capacity oil sump, Abarth exhaust and correct Weber 36DCD7.

This vehicle has been subject to an extensive painstaking nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared, with high attention to detail and originality.

A rare opportunity to obtain a well sorted car with great performance and character, this unique Italian beauty should not be missed.
