Description:

A 1999 Aston Martin DB7 3.2 litre Volante Chassis number SCFAA3111XK202503
Engine number AM10402323

Founded in 1913, Aston Martin has developed into an iconic brand synonymous with luxury and sporting elegance. The company competed in its first race at the 1922 French GP. Aston Martin was purchased by industrialist David Brown in 1947 and production moved to Newport Pagnell in 1954. The 1950s ended with much racing success including victory at the Le Mans 24 hr race. Aston Martin's 50th anniversary saw the launch of the legendary DB5 in 1963 which was immortalised as James Bond's vehicle of choice in the film 'Goldfinger'. The famous DB moniker was resurrected in 1993 with the introduction of the DB7.

This magnificent Australian delivered Aston Martin DB7 Volante hand-built in 1999 has been serviced religiously and exercised regularly but sparingly having covered just 92,000 kms. Currently owned by a past-President of the Aston Martin Owners Club (Victoria) it is the last of the six of this model to enter the country. In a superb colour combination it has benefitted from new paint and a new roof. The car runs faultlessly and has had its supercharger replaced. It features an new iPod connecting system and also benefits from having had reversing sensors installed.

One of only 879 supercharged 3.2 litre convertible DB7 Volantes ever produced (the majority of which were in left hand drive form for the US market) this rare factory right hand drive Aston Martin cost over Aus$317,000 when first purchased.

What better way to celebrate last year's centenary of Aston Martin than becoming just the fourth owner of this superb light metallic blue with navy roof Volante? Undoubtedly a modern collectable.
