A German WW 1 officers sword with with engraved blade depicting a battle scene
In good general condition. Absolutely authentic. 35 3/4 inch overall length. Good original leather grip retaining some of its original silver wiring. Fine hilt retaining just about all of its original nickel finish. Fine 30 3/4 inch blade showing a beautiful etched decor on both sides. No visible maker markings. No nicks, dings… on the cutting edge. Blade and hilt perfectly tight together. In its good original steel scabbard retaining a large amount of its original black paint finish. An attractive and classic German sword!
