A Japanese Tea Bowl, Chawan, Mino Seto Region, Japan, Edo Period mid 19th C.
a wheel-thrown open tea bowl with a generous mouth. A twice dipped crazed Shino glaze highlighted by a Ki-Seto green glaze run and seven traditional lacquer and gold dust repairs to the rim

Gold dust repairs were very time consuming and expensive, & reserved for highly regarded pieces
