A Pair of Maori Meeting House Posts, North Island, New Zealand, early 20th Century,
finely carved in high relief of three striking ancestor figures standing on top of each other. All depicted with open mouths, their long tongues sticking out, all six figures retain their shell eyes, they have been painted red & show evidence of actual use
