CORPORAL.R.P.BELL A.I.F (Service Number 10126) World War 1 Memorabilia,
includes a Photograph Album To Commemorate Roy Pinto Bell Leaving for the First World War in 1915, decorative hand drawn title page 'Bombardier R.P.Bell 2nd Reinforcements, 5th Field Artillery Brigade A.I.F With All Good Wishes from E.K & H.B' 15 November 1915. Album has images of troops leaving from Sydney, life on board ship, Egypt etc, loosely inserted is a memorial leaflet in 'Loving memory of the Years of Friendship between Roy Bell and Douglas Meggy' who also died in France in 1916; Two Medals: British War Medal 1914 - 1918 & Victory Medal 1914 - 1919, also two badges & a blank identity disc.; A Memorial Plaque, the bronze plaque designed by Edward Carter Preston shows Britannia and a lion on the front and bears the inscription: "He died for freedom and honour". Roy Bell embarked with the 5th Australian Field Artillery Brigade A.I.F. in September 1915 & was killed in action 9th December 1916 at the Somme. (Roy Pinto Bell was Christiana Laurie Seaman's brother)
