Hunting Story, 1979

Kaapa Tjampitjinpa was among the founding figures of the Papunya Tula movement, remembered for his central role in the landmark 1971 Honey Ant Dreaming mural at Papunya school. He was the first winner of the Northern Territory Art Award and one of the earliest to bring Western Desert iconography into acrylic painting, setting the groundwork for Papunya's recognition in both Australia and abroad.
